I take a different approach to fees than many freelance copywriters.
Instead of charging an hourly rate, I quote a fixed project fee. This price is all-inclusive, covering strategy and research through to copywriting and polishing. Two rounds of revisions are included free of charge.
Am I expensive? It’s true my rates are at the upper end of the professional scale. But most clients find me excellent value for the experience, insights, ideas, creativity, commitment to their goals, and the quality of writing I bring to their projects.
So how much do I charge?
I know you’re wondering, because it’s the first question most people ask me. Before I answer, allow me a digression…
To paraphrase the advertising legend David Ogilvy, if you’re going to choose your copywriter based on their fees, you’re looking through the wrong end of the telescope. You shouldn’t worry about a copywriter’s fees, but rather the selling power of the copy they write for you.
